Christina Schacht, Hospital Manager

Christina started working as a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2010, exploring her interests in emergency medicine and small animal dentistry. She grew up in Southern California, but escaped the beach to pursue her love of the mountains in 2015. Christina has two dogs, a boston terrier mix named Gigi and a Rottweiler/lab mix named Niya. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, rafting, snowboarding, and spending time with her family. She is very excited to be apart of the Frisco Animal Hospital team and welcomes your questions and comments at christina.schacht@nvanet.com .


Heather Dwyer, Client Service Representative

Heather grew up in Streamwood, IL. She graduated from Harper College with an Associates Degree in Biology. She has been working in the veterinary field since 1996. Once her kids graduated from High School she moved out to Colorado to fulfill her dream of living by the mountains. She lives with her husband, 2 sons, 3 dogs and a cat. She loves to go hiking, camping and spending as much time as possible with her family.


Christy Turner, Certified Veterinary Technician

Christy is originally from Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Columbus State Community College with her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology in 2001. Christy gained experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician for 17 years in the central Ohio area. She moved with her husband, two dogs, and two cats to Summit County so her husband could continue working as a ski instructor. Aside from animals, Christy’s passions include the environment, being outdoors, and spending time with friends & family. She is looking forward to exploring all that Summit County has to offer and helping the pet population stay healthy and safe.


Megan Dujardin, Certified Veterinary Technician

Megan grew up in Colorado Springs, CO. Once she graduated high school, she moved to the Denver area and proceeded to go to Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. After graduating, she moved to Texas and worked in general practice for a few years. In 2018, she returned to Colorado to be with her family and ended up at Frisco Animal Hospital about a year later! Her favorite activities include yoga, snowboarding, standup paddleboarding and traveling with her dog, Boulder.


Diane Jurgens, Certified Veterinary Technician

Diane graduated from Bucknell University in 1998 with a BS in Environmental Geology. However, animals have always been her passion, so instead of pursuing grad school, she instead moved to Denver to attend the Bel-Rea Institute. She has spent the majority of her time in general practice, but has also worked at VRCC and the Canine Rehabilitation and Conditioning Group after getting her CCRA from the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Most of the time, she is is working with Dr. Gaynor in his pain management specialty practice. She has a special interest in behavior and became Fear Free certified this past year and hopes to make your pets’ visits less stressful. Currently, she is attending the Karen Pryor Academy which is a dog training program that focuses on positive reinforcement.

In her spare time, she likes to hike, camp, SUP, snowshoe or snowboard. She currently lives with 3 dogs and 2 cats. She is involved with flyball (a fun canine relay race) and occasionally her club does the halftime shows at Nuggets and Mammoth games. Her oldest dog is now retired, but her younger two still compete. Diane is also a volunteer at the Summit County Animal Shelter.

Melissa Bizer, Client Services/Veterinary Assistant

Melissa was born in Michigan and graduated from MSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology. She is passionate about helping animals and the environment. Before moving to Summit County last December, She lived in Alaska and worked in a wildlife rehabilitation facility for marine mammals, focusing on seals and sea otters. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, snowboarding and camping. Melissa started working at Frisco Animal Hospital in August 2014 and is very excited to be a part of the team!


Krystal Kingery, Veterinary Assistant

I was born and raised in Southern California. I spent a few years in Northern California working for an emergency veterinary specialty hospital. While working I managed to graduate from a Fire Academy and get my EMT-B. I moved to Colorado January of 2016 to take a job as an Engineer/EMT. I am currently in Paramedic school and have 3 dogs and a cat. I enjoy off-roading, camping, hiking, fishing and playing hockey.


Ryan Hemphill, Veterinary Assistant

Ryan started working at Frisco Animal Hospital in April of 2017 to fulfill her dream of working with animals in the mountains. Before moving to Summit County, she worked with rehabilitating exotics and learning about the veterinary medicine field. Her passions include working with animals, spending time outdoors and creating art. In her spare time, Ryan enjoys spending time with her dog, hiking, camping and snowboarding.
