Dr. Ortiz grew up in Mexico City. She went to the National Autonomous University of Mexico for veterinary school. She did a rotating internship at the University of Illinois.  Her professional interests include internal medicine, ophthalmology and infectious diseases.  She has had Flat Coated Retrievers most of her life and has gone to multiple retriever tests with them.  

Dr. Ortiz recently moved to Summit County from Pennsylvania. She is very excited to explore the great outdoors of Colorado. She is fluent in Spanish and is very happy to help the community. 

Outside of work Dr. Ortiz enjoys mountain biking, skiing and hiking with her two Flat Coated Retrievers, Dagur and Magnus. She also enjoys powerlifting.
