Dr. Emily Hokett

Hi there! My name is Emily Hokett, and I’m super excited to join the Summit community of pets and their families.

Here’s a little bit about me…

I was raised in the northwest corner of Arkansas in a town called Fayetteville and I have dreamed of becoming a veterinarian for as long as I can remember. To make my dreams come true, I moved to Fort Collins in 2014 to attend CSU. I knew right away I wanted the mountains to be my forever home! I lived in Fort Collins for nine years; during this time I obtained degrees in Animal science, Biomedical science, and Veterinary medicine. I also fell in love with rock climbing and trail running throughout the Front Range.

When the opportunity arose to be surrounded by mountains, practicing high quality medicine at Frisco Animal Hospital, I jumped right on it! I moved to Summit County in July 2023, and so far I love the small town feel of the community as well as the access to outdoor recreation. My special interests are internal medicine, the human-animal bond, and wellbeing in veterinary medicine. When I’m not at work I’m probably spending time in nature with dog Sully or at the pottery studio. Sully is my 10 year old Golden Retriever who loves to take me hiking, rock climbing, and Nordic skiing in the winter.

It’s been a delight getting to know the pets and people of this community, and I can’t wait to meet you!
